The request

What started as a retail sales position turned into a website re-design and branding update with the in-house marketing team. They were responsible for creating graphic and video content to promote new products and events, as well as managing the drop shipping of any products they sold out of or did not carry in-house.

The challenge

They faced the challenge of conducting a competitor analysis of the top e-commerce sites in the action sports industry to review what elements they needed to provide customers with the information necessary to complete online checkouts. Utilizing YouTube and Google Analytics data, they laser-focused on the types of content that brought in ideal customers. Additionally, they implemented a weekly email strategy to notify their mailing list of new products and available YouTube videos.

My approach

As part of their team, I pitched campaign ideas and new private label product inventions to my managers persistently until gaining approval. This dedication led to a promotion in the marketing department, granting me the ability to execute these projects alongside the team.

The result

Leveraging YouTube to attract new customers nationwide and utilizing Email, Facebook, and Instagram to retarget site viewers and convert them into customers, they achieved remarkable results through their strategic marketing efforts.
